TREAT YOURSELF PANTS

These unisex pants are called “Treat Yourself”. 

They are the product of a collaboration between Jackie Crespo and Gabino Azuela, owners of the renowned art and design studio Can Can Press (based in Mexico City), and designer Sabrina Ol. The idea was to take the “Pocket Pants” pattern and intervene it with Jackie Crespo and Gabino Azuela’s illustrations and graphics. These are original pieces. Only 20 pants were made, each marked with its serial number. They were printed one by one in a screen printing studio in the historical center of Mexico City. For the creation of the pants, Crespo, Azuela, and Olivera explored the concept of “treating yourself”. They found that it was interesting how this idea is often exaggerated to the point of reaching selfishness.  The illustrations range from a martini glass to quotes in Spanish that say “me before myself”. The designs are very playful and have their own sense of humor.
