VICA x SABRINA OL

Victoria Martínez Rojo is a visual artist based in Mexico City. Her practice focuses on exploring the potential of images as catalytic agents, whether through video projections, printmaking techniques, or mixed media. In the process, she combines analog and digital tools to capture moving images and translate them into material form, building bridges between virtual and physical ecosystems. Using images and symbols as devices for time travel, her audiovisual narratives connect past and future stories, creating ways of portraying visual memory. The relationship between technological media and natural processes runs through her work, which unfolds in multimedia installations where video transforms into graphic form and matter.
She was a co-founder of the art and science collective Parallax Lab in Berlin, a project that infused her artistic practice with experimental, science-based methodologies.

We visited Vica in her in her studio, where she shared the influences that shape her work. Between process, intuition, and memory, she told us about a dream in which she learned how to braid hair, a gesture that has since become a recurring symbol in her practice. The conversation unfolded as she selected and wore her favorite pieces from Sabrina OL, creating an intimate dialogue between her creative world and ours.
