María Murillo was born in Mexico City in 1992. She’s a pisces, cancer rising and an aries moon. She studied styling in London and has built her creative universe at the intersection of fashion, object curation, and world-building. She co-founded the boot brand OUTOFCOMFORT and in 2022 brought La Sirène to life, first as a brand, and later as a concept store, opening in La Condesa in 2025. La Sirène is a store devoted to lingerie and coqueterías: a pink, safe space where sensuality meets the beauty of objects. María deeply believes that every object carries emotional weight, and that surrounding ourselves with beautiful things is a way of inhabiting desire with softness, play, and a touch of magic. La Sirène is not just a store, it is a space where women can freely explore their sensuality and build community.

We visited Maria at home as she reminisced about last Valentine’s Day. With delays stretching longer than expected, she wasn’t sure La Sirène would be ready in time. Doubt lingered quietly, but so did belief.And then, it opened.
